Banamallii Mahotsav 2024 Successfully Held

The Banamalli Mahotsav commenced with an engaging pre-ceremonial activity—a Mega Quiz among school and college students. Participants were quizzed on topics ranging from current affairs and general science to Indian culture, health, and the environment. Instant prizes were awarded to the bright minds who showcased their knowledge.

The official inauguration of Banamalli Mahotsav 2024 took place with the lighting of lamps in front of Lord Jagannath. The serene ambiance was further enhanced by the recitation of Jyoti Abahan and Vedic hymns, led by Tirthabasi Dalai.

Welcoming the esteemed guests, the State Theme Song “Vande Utkal Janani” resonated through the venue, beautifully sung by Damayanti Pradhan, Chinmayee Dalai, Rutuparna Mohanty, Mamali Barik, and Ranu Dalai.

The meeting session, skillfully anchored by Dr. Jayadev Satapathy and Rasmita Behera, featured distinguished personalities on stage. Notable attendees included Debendra Prasad Bal (BDO Dharmasala), Dr. Nihar Ranjan Kar, Guruprasad Satapathy (Lyricist), Doctor Kulangara (Comic Poet), Padmanav Satapathy (Advisor), Ajay Kumar Das (Advisor), Sarojkant Behera (Executive Secretary), and Nirmalya Kumar Pradhan (Vice-President).

The event also recognized individuals who have made significant contributions to social service across various fields. These exemplary achievers were felicitated by the guests on behalf of the organization.

Adding to the festivities, the unveiling of Mahaka’s 7th Edition—the yearly magazine of the organization—took place in the presence of the audience, guests, and organizational members.

As the meeting session concluded, Sarojkant Behera, the executive secretary, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the guests, audience, and volunteers for their dedication and time.

Following the formal proceedings, the Banamalli Mahotsav continued with a vibrant Cultural Programme. Students and artists graced the stage, infusing the event with creativity and talent. Their captivating performances contributed to the Mahotsav’s overall splendor. As a token of appreciation, participation certificates were awarded to the artists.

The success of the program owes much to the tireless efforts of volunteers and members from the organization.
