Banamalli Sahitya O Seva Sangathan Celebrates Madhusudan Das’ Birth Anniversary with Student Debate

On 28th April 2025, Banamalli Sahitya O Seva Sangathan commemorated the birth anniversary of Utkal Gourab Madhusudan Das with great enthusiasm at Gadajata Smarakipitha, Brundadeipur, Jenapur, Jajpur.

As part of the event, a debate competition was organized among school students on the topic:

"Madhubabu's Role in the Formation of Independent Odisha."

A total of 32 students actively participated, presenting insightful perspectives on Madhusudan Das’s immense contribution to the creation of a separate Odisha province and his visionary leadership. Prizes were awarded to all participants to encourage and appreciate their efforts.

The meeting was chaired by Jayadev Satapathy, President of the organisation. Vice President Nirmalya Kumar Pradhan, Secretary Manas Ranjan Pradhan, and Sarojkant Behera were also present.

Several respected social workers and guests, including Pramod Kumar Mallick (Retired Teacher), Bishnu Charan Ojha, Raghunath Behera, Sarat Mohanty, and Ananda Chandra Dalai, attended the event and shared their thoughts on the life and legacy of Madhubabu.

Members of the organisation including Lalmohan Satapathy, Madhusmita Khatua, Pujarani Barik, Abhishek Baral, and Sidhanta Palai also actively participated in the proceedings and offered tributes through speeches and discussions.

The program highlighted the enduring relevance of Madhusudan Das’s ideals and aimed to instill a sense of history, pride, and civic responsibility in the younger generation.
